Famatone will provide decontamination services for units 3 and 4 of the Bruce nuclear Power Plant

Framatome of France and Bruce Power of Canada have been awarded a contract to provide system-wide decontamination services for units 3 and 4 of the Bruce Nuclear Power Plant as part of the Plant's Major Parts Replacement (MCR) program.

Using a unique chemical decontaminating technology developed globally, Famatone will localize this technology for use by its Canadian team at the Candu reactor. The chemical process, which is being certified in Canadian nuclear laboratories, has achieved good decontamination results, Famatone said.
